From mid to late summer, deep violet flowers are produced on branched panicles on this upright four foot perennial. Thin stems with a heavy flower load may require some staking or supportive neighbors. Ideal for a woodland garden but will tolerate more sun with ample water. Excellent for flower arranging but beware of skin irritation.
