Trees are the long term serious relationships of the garden. You want to know them well before you tie the knot and you must also be clear what your expectations are of them as well. Of course, some adjustment can be made while they are still young and we have moved many trees. Trees that have interesting bark and great fall color are tops on my list. But then there are so many flowering beauties as well.
